Description
InfoField
The scene depicts the goddess Mazu and the Song embassy to Goryeo of 1123 on the high seas. Mazu is dressed in red, holds a hu tablet, and hovers on a cloud above one of the ship's masts. A high official, presumably Lu Yundi, is likewise dressed in red and is shown kneeling in prayer. The clothing is in the style of the Song dynasty. (See Ruitenbeek)
